Is NCS a Legitimate business?
  • National Commercial Services is a registered CA based company. NCS specializes in comprehensive subrogation and commercial recovery services for Insurance carriers and commercial business enterprises throughout the country.
  • NCS is licensed to do business in all states, fully insured and bonded in accordance with all industry requirements.  
  • Associates are trained to address people respectfully in accordance with federal laws including FDCPA, CFPB, FCRA, TCPA, UDAP, and HIPPA along with following all state regulations.
Why have I been assigned to a collection agency?

Your account has been assigned to us because you have been involved in an occurrence where you are considered at-fault and are responsible for repayment of the damages. You may also have not paid a balance in full on services that a business has provided. If you do not believe that you owe this money is accurate, please contact us to discuss your position to remedy the situation.  

What information will you provide to validate that the money owed is mine?

We will provide you the following information to help you acknowledge that the amount owed is yours:

  • The name of the carrier or creditor that you owe the balance to.
  • The account number associated with the claim.
  • Reference number associated with the account.
Who do I talk with to receive information on my account?
How can I make a payment?

NCS provides online, phone and auto-pay options for claimants to make payments:

  • You can call NCS Toll Free: (888) 355-4400 to talk with an Associate.
  • Online ACH, Credit and Debit Card payments can be sent via our Make a Payment link on our website at ncssubro.com/payment.
  • Personal and certified checks can be sent in the mail.
  • All payments received will be posted to your account when received and deposited on the date you assign.
What if I can't afford to pay?

If you are unable to pay in full, tell us why, and we will work with you. Honest communication is the key to a positive outcome.

What type of recovery services do you provide?

NCS offers a “One Source Recovery Solution” that provides the following recovery services needed to recover your funds:

What information do you need when I place my claims?

The more information you can provide on day one, will better our chance of successful recovery and get your money faster. Needed information includes the name, address, and phone number of the responsible party, along with all documentation including facts of loss, police report, photos, witness statements, and insurance information if applicable involved in your claim to get the process going.

What happens when I place an account with NCS?
  • Your data is generated into an electronic file, which is securely entered into our system.
  • An Acknowledgement is electronically forwarded to the Client.
  • Your claim will be sent through our scrub process to validate all information provided, skip trace, ensure all documents are received.
  • First Demand is sent to the Responsible Party
  • Your Account is analyzed and forwarded to a highly qualified collections specialist separated by product.
When do I get my money?
  • Factors on the speed of recovery include the quality of initial information, the age of the account, and the status of the responsible party. Rest assured that NCS will leave no stone unturned to recover your money.
  • All dollars recovered are held in escrow for 20 days to guard against chargebacks or NSF checks. We remit funds to the client after the funds have cleared on the 20th day of each month.
Are there any advance or up-front fees?

There are no advanced fees, you pay only when we collect. NCS has a contingency based fee structure, no costs are incurred until NCS successfully recovers your money.

How do I know my information is safe with NCS?

You can place your accounts with confidence. Clients receive the highest level of security and privacy during transit and at rest in our systems .

  • Data Protection is certified through Soc 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II Audits which demonstrates effective operational controls that safeguard sensitive data.
  • PCI-DSS Certification – Ensures secure handling of payment data and protection against card fraud.
Will I have remote access to view my claims?

Clients are provide 24/7 remote web access at https://secure.ncssubro.com/client/login

  • You can read claim status, file notes, and payment information in real time.
  • The Portal enables you to view placement and recovery results by current month, previous month, and year to date figures.
Will I be provided Reports?

Standard reports sent to you upon your directives include:

  • Placement Acknowledgements
  • Status Activity
  • Remittance
  • Closure reports

In addition to standard reporting, NCS’s can customize client specific data reports to better analyze their business. These reports are sent as frequently as requested by the client.

What is the FDCPA?

FDCPA stands for the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act which protects debtors from deceptive collection practices and governs collection agencies throughout the nation.

NCS collectors are trained, tested, and educated on all state and federal regulations on all aspects of collections. This training keeps NCS compliant while serving the interests of our clients via thoughtful and disciplined collections.   In addition to FDCPA, NCS also adheres to the following state and federal regulations:
